Peter Murphy

Peter Murphy is an Investment Analyst with Resonant Capital Advisors. In this role, he supports the firm’s investment management process through investment research and analysis, trade operations, client portfolio monitoring, and the development of internal and external investment communications. 

Prior to Resonant, Peter completed an internship at Triumph Capital Markets, a private credit investment bank in Chicago. In this role, he researched emerging alternative ABS fixed-income classes and screened companies for potential future ABS issuances. As a part of this screening, he worked with senior leaders to examine each step in the process of ABS issuance and review client needs. 

Peter is a native of Libertyville, Illinois and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marquette University where he majored in Finance and AIM (Applied Investment Management). The AIM program gives students hands-on experience valuing stocks and managing a portion of Marquette's endowment fund. He currently resides in Madison and in his free time enjoys running, watching rugby and supporting his favorite teams, Marquette Basketball and the Chicago Bears.
