Richard Thompson is a founder and serves as Chief Investment Officer for Resonant Capital Advisors. He has over 25 years of professional experience in the investment and financial planning industry. His responsibilities include investment research, portfolio construction and trading in addition to working directly with clients.
Prior to joining Resonant, Richard was the Chief Investment Officer for First Business Trust and Investments, where he oversaw the construction and implementation of investment portfolios for individual and institutional clients. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Financial Planner designations.
Richard is a lifelong Madison area resident and graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a degree in Economics. He lives with his wife Kendra and daughters Madeline and Lillian in Waunakee. When not working Richard enjoys running, cycling, cooking and supporting his wife’s theatrical pursuits.
