Caleb Tammen is an Investment Analyst with Resonant Capital Advisors. In this role, he supports the firm’s investment management process through investment research and analysis, trade operations, client portfolio monitoring, and the development of internal and external investment communications.

Prior to Resonant, Caleb worked in Portland, Oregon at D.A. Davidson as an Equity Research Associate. At D.A. Davidson, he supported his senior analyst in the coverage of 60 software and hardware stocks, with primary responsibilities including building and maintaining detailed valuation models and authoring earnings and industry reports distributed to institutional investors. 

A Wisconsin Rapids native, Caleb graduated from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse with majors in Finance and Economics before completing a Master’s in Finance and a Master’s in Business Analytics at the University of Iowa – Tippie College of Business. Caleb currently resides in Madison and enjoys walking his dog, boating with family, and golfing in his free time. 

If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be?

Cooking. Do not ever trust me to cook chicken. 

What three items would you take on a deserted island?

An ice machine, a copper cup, and a lasting supply of Moscow Mule ingredients.

What advice would you give your younger self?

Don’t dwell on the past. Keep your head down, put in the work, and the rest will take care of itself. 

What is the first job you ever held?

My first job was delivering pizza for Rocky Rococo’s. Great pizza, but the lasting smell of it in my car hasn’t and will never be missed. 

Who are the three people that have influenced you the most?

My mom, dad, and grandparents (in no particular order) each played a large role in shaping who I am. They taught me the value of hard work and instilled a competitive mentality that I carry with me to this day.
